This match was quite special, with 2 offline-tactical-in-game-leaders participating.

First map: Badlands

The match started with NH losing a round in badlands. The second round didn't look too good either until some heroic action from our boys, and NH managed to even the scores to 1-1. After that it was another quick win for No Hope, making it 2-1.

In the start of the 4th round there was some distraction as the opponent had loaded wrong match configs. The matter was quickly resolved and the match could continue, though NH lost a well begun round...

FF started the fifth round aggressively, forcing us to run to the hills (and eventually to the last point). The round was lost due to too much hässling. At the start of the sixth round the scores were 2-2. The excitement was intense. Walzu did some impressive healing job and No Hope got the middle point first, soon to be followed by the mountain one. NH collected themselves and did a well-planned push for the final point and got it. 3-2 for us. So far so good.

7th round didn't start that well. Walzu died right at the beginning, forcing NH to retreat. Mountain was soon lost as well, leaving us to defend the last point. The defending thing didn't quite work out... 3-3. 8th round. The initial middle point battle was fierce, but losing Walzu, the point was captured by ff, who soon were attacking our final point, and took it.

6 minutes left of badlands, 9th round, 3-4. NH had to make their move if they were to win the map. NH had quite a passive approach this time, and it didn't pay off. FF got to the mountain point quickly and soon after captured our last point. 3-5. Things didn't look too good.

10th round. NH really HAD to win this one, and fast. Well, it didn't happen. 3-6 for Freedom Fighters. 3 minutes left so the map was about done.

The final score for Badlands: 3-7 for Freedom Fighters.

Second map: Granary

First round started with a blitzkrieg on the middle point as it often does. A few of our players did and some of us started retreating while others still pushed due to new intel. All the same, NH did get the middle point, allowing us to push further. NH took its time on the attack, allowing FF to try and take the middle point for themselves. No Hope lost the medic, leading to the loss of the middle point. Fortunately FF weren't too fast in their moves either, so NH could regroup and get their line put together again. FF pushed for the fourth point, and got it with some nice team effort. Soon after, the final point was lost for NH too.

Second round. NH started with an aggressive attack to the middle point, but soon had to retreat, as the medic was lost to FF's scouts. Rest of the round was pretty much defending the last point, but alas, for nothing, as FF made a push for the point, capturing it after slaughtering the whole No Hope team. At the same time one of Freedom Fighters' players dropped out of the game. So 6on5. Now was No Hope's chance to score if they wanted to get the map win. It was 0-2 for FF.

Third round started with No Hope capturing the middle point, continuing to the fourth point. They had to take a more passive approach after meeting the freedom fighters' resistance. The second push at fourth point with ubers flying everywhere didn't pay off either; the fourth point was still held by FF. The round was pretty much a stalemate for a while, until FF pushed for the middle point and captured it. NH defended their second point, waiting for FF to attack. They eventually did, which ended up in NH slaughtering 5 of them. After some battles on the middle, FF pushed for the fourth point, captured it, and quickly got the final point as well. 0-3 for FF.

Fourth round was NH's last chance. The middle point was captured by NH. Some intense battles took place in front of Freedom Fighters' house, but NH were forced to retreat and lost the middle point. The tables were pretty much turned, as NH was next to play the defending role. Defending didn't go that well, so the fourth and fifth points were lost.

8 minutes left. It was going to be a rough night for NH. Fifth round showed some battle fatigue amongst No Hope, as all points were lost in a record breaking time.

Aaannd that's about it for granary (0-6) and the whole match.

All in all, thanks for Freedom Fighters for a nice match. Apart from the small config-problem, everything worked out smoothly.

Now for our exclusive interview with NH|Walzuu:

What do you think of the match?
-I took too many risks. I should've tried to stay alive more. My teammates should have rushed more.

So would you say you were too passive?
-Yes.

How are your legs?
-They're working fine, thanks.

Other comments?
-None.
